How to Use

1. Prep Your Surface
  • Smooth It Out: For pitted areas, meticulously sand and level using medium to coarse grit sandpaper (400-600) to ensure maximum smoothness and flatness.
  • Clean Thoroughly: Eliminate all contamination, especially on metal, with SCUDOPICKLING 100AB solvent cleaner.
2. Apply the Primer
  • Mix it Right: Combine TUTTOPRIMER IC100B (100 parts) with TUTTOCATALYST IC80 (80 parts) at a 5:4 mix ratio.
  • Spray Evenly: Apply using an HVLP spray gun (or standard spray gun) with a 1.2-1.3 mm nozzle at a pressure of 1.50 bar (21.75 psi).
  • Shake Well First: Ensure both components are thoroughly mixed before use.
  • Dry with Care:
    • Oven Cure: Bake at 60°-70°C for 70 minutes, then let it cool and rest for 30 minutes.
    • Air Dry: Allow to dry at ambient temperature (20-25°C) for 12-24 hours.
  • Keep it Clean: Ensure drying occurs in a clean, dust-free environment. Avoid touching the coated surface during drying.
3. Chrome Application
  • Shake Vigorously: Thoroughly shake the 1K TUTTOCHROMAME STD TC20 before pouring it into your HVLP spray gun.
  • Spray with Precision: Use a 1-1.2/1.3 mm nozzle at a pressure of 1.50 bar (21.75 psi).
  • Coat in Layers: Apply three even layers of TUTTOCHROME using overlapping, cross strokes to ensure complete coverage. A good technique is spraying bottom to top, then across from left to right.
  • Dry for Maximum Shine:
    • Oven Cure: Bake at 60°-70°C for 70 minutes.
    • Air Dry (Optimal): For the best results and highest reflectivity (up to 90%-95%), allow to dry at ambient temperature for a full 24 hours. The longer the solvents evaporate, the better the mirror finish.
4. Apply Top Coat
  • Mix the Clear Coat: Combine CLEARTOP MT300 (100 parts) with CLEARCATALYST MT934 (40 parts) at a 5:2 mix ratio using an HVLP spray gun (or standard spray gun) with a 1.2-1.3 mm nozzle at a pressure of 1.50 bar (21.75 psi).
  • For Colored Finishes: If you desire a specific color, add CME Pigments to the mixed CLEARTOP MT300 and CLEARCATALYST MT934 according to the exact mixing percentages indicated on each CME Pigment bottle label.
  • First Coat Drying: Let the first coat dry at 60°-70°C for 1 hour or at room temperature for 12-24 hours. After 3 hours, the coated item can be handled and packaged.
  • Second Coat for Durability & Gloss: Always apply a second layer of the mixed CLEARTOP MT300 and CLEARCATALYST MT934 after any color coating. This ensures a high-quality, glossy, and long-lasting finish.
  • For a Matte Finish: Instead of CLEARTOP MT300 and CATALYST MT934, use CLEARTOP MT800 (Matte finish) and SCUDO 8 SC Anti-fouling according to their specific mixing instructions.
1. Surface Preparation
  • Decontaminate Thoroughly: Start by eliminating any contamination that could compromise adhesion.
  • Plastic-Specific Cleaning: If you’re working with plastic, we strongly advise a thorough cleaning with our specialized solvent, SCUDOPICKLING 52MT.
  • Flawless Base: For optimal results, apply directly to a meticulously prepared surface—one that’s been sanded to a perfectly flat, fine, uniform finish, ensuring it’s impeccably clean and dry.
2. CATALYSER (Hardner)
  • Two-Part System: Please note that
  • Single Coat Yield: One tin of SCUDOCHROMAME 602FX will cover approximately 5 to 6 square meters in a single coat.
  • Optimal Application: For best results, we recommend applying two coats, which yields an average coverage of 2 to 3 square meters, depending on surface condition and application method.
  • is a two-component (2K) product, requiring precise mixing.
  • Exact Ratio: Catalyze by mixing SCUDOCHROMAME 602FX (100%) with SCUDOCATALYST 52MT (40%) – a strict 5:2 ratio.
  • Mix Thoroughly: Shake well before use to ensure a uniform and effective blend.
3. APPLICATION METHODS
  • Versatile Application: Apply using a brush, roller, or HVLP Airless spray gun. Please note: Spray gun application is for PROFESSIONAL USE ONLY.
  • Layering Technique: Allow a 5-10 minute interval between each coat for proper layering.
  • Spray Gun Specifications:
    • Nozzle Tip: 1.3-1.5 mm
    • Minimum Nozzle Pressure: 300 bar (4351 psi)
4. Optimal Environment
  • Controlled Conditions: For best results, this product must be applied in a clean, temperature- and humidity-controlled environment.
  • Recommended Parameters:
    • Temperature: 20-25°C (68-77°F)
    • Relative Humidity: 30-60%
5. Coverage
  • Single Coat Yield: One tin of SCUDOCHROMAME 602FX will cover approximately 5 to 6 square meters in a single coat.

You’ll be pleased to know that using ChromaMe® products requires standard painting equipment commonly found in a typical paint booth setup. This includes:

  • A compressor
  • A spray gun
  • And a clean room for storing your freshly coated items.

While not strictly essential, we highly recommend having an oven or infrared system. These tools are handy for significantly speeding up the drying and curing process, enabling you to achieve optimal results and complete projects more quickly.

The equipment required depends on the specific product you choose:

  • For ExtraChromaMe® (100% reflectivity): Achieving this ultimate reflectivity requires our special, compact Application Machine equipped with its unique, proprietary design spray gun. This system is a complete, professional mobile paint workstation.
  • For TuttoChromaMe™ (95% reflectivity): You’ll be pleased to know that TuttoChromaMe™ is applied with conventional spray guns. It does not require any special equipment beyond a standard, conventional dry spray booth.
